As the sun rose over Kigali this morning, Team St Helena was getting prepped for their first real day at the tournament.
An early breakfast for the team as they decided to travel to the cricket ground in time to take in the first game between Botswana and Rwanda and prepare themselves for their big game against the acclaimed favorites Kenya this afternoon.
The team awoke to a multitude of video greetings from family and friends all over the world and the main trend of talk at breakfast was how overwhelming it is to have such a following and are grateful for their support and passion for the team.
Remember it’s match day today and Team St Helena will begin their World Cup qualifier campaign with the opening game against Kenya this afternoon at 13.45 (11.45 GMT).
