Day 2 in Abuja sees Team St Helena in very high spirits as their acclimatization and training continues.

It was an early start for the team on day two as they looked to improve on their previous days activities, where it was apparent that they were suffering from the extensive travels from the Island to Abuja, but met Tuesday full on with an impressive session.

Keeping warm…

Both the Coach and the Captain felt the morning session in the 34 degree heat, showed how well the team was acclimatizing and dealing with the intense heat.

Of course whilst the Nigeria Guardian printed that St Helena arrived ahead of time to get used to the weather, in reality the team knows that an early arrival was through necessity, due to the Saturday flights, so getting used to the weather is a real bonus.

During the debrief following the training, all players expressed how they were adapting and enjoying the sessions as we lead up to the tournament at the weekend.

Today (Wednesday) is our last training session, as we look forward to seeing the remainder of the teams show up tomorrow and prepare for a final practice on Friday.
