And after months of hard work in training and preparing for the qualifiers in Abuja, Team St Helena departed St Helena this afternoon, headed for Johannesburg where they will transit for Ethiopia and then on to Nigeria.
St Helena Airport became a hub of activity from around 11am when the team arrived with their family and friends and were joined by fans and friends.
On an occasion where emotions ran high for numerous reasons, all were backing the team in their endeavours.

Airlink flight 4Z131 arrived 45 minutes earlier than scheduled and departed at 2pm.
