Solomon & Company (St Helena) Plc, has recently supported Cricket St Helena in the form of a cash donation to assist with the Squad’s travel to Rwanda in November.
Known locally as “Solomons” the company offers a wide range of services and solutions for locals and visitors to St Helena.
Solomon and Company have a significant connection with Cricket St Helena, as whilst Saul Solomon founded the company around the 1800s, it was a direct descendant, Humphrey Welby Solomon in 1903, who actually founded the St Helena Cricket Association at the age of 26.
Humphrey was the last owner of Solomons and the last of the Solomons on St Helena, who was at a young age when he founded the Association and remained its president until he died in 1960 at over 83 years old.
