On the final day, all members were in high spirits as the Conference turned towards member workshops.
Here Regional Directors presented numerous activities and lectures, bringing members up to date with past and future activities.
Of particular interest to St Helena in the African workshops was competition pathways and planning for the next five years as a cricketing body.
The day it ended with a closing speech from William Glenwright who marked the week in Durban a success.
The Conference was over for Derek and St Helena Cricket, ending a week of informative lectures and debates, renewing acquaintances in the cricket fraternity and making new friends and valued partnerships. Derek said it was a wonderful week filled with promise for St Helena Cricket, but one which also outlined how far Island Cricket has to travel to compete with our counterparts and associates.
