A single change was made to the fixtures for the tournament at tonight’s technical meeting.
St Helena’s match against Botswana which was scheduled for Friday the 25th in the afternoon has been changed to the morning.
This change has been made as Team St Helena has a 5pm o’clock flight to Johannesburg via Ethiopia in time to meet the Airlink flight to St Helena the Saturday morning (but more of that in another blog)That will then mean the morning game on the final day of the tournament will be St Helena against Botswana
A pre-tournament or technical meeting was held this evening (Wednesday) with all Managers, Captains, and Coaches to outline the tournament guidelines, introduce the playing control team which includes a referee and the umpires, and be officially welcomed by the Tournament Director Kuben Pillay.
Apart from discussing and advising the pastoral and logistical issues, everyone was brought up to speed on the rules and what would be required of each team during the tournament.
Dinner followed the meeting as Team St Helena prepares for Kenya tomorrow afternoon.
