St Helena picks up their first win of the tournament and moves to 6th in the standings ahead of their double header tomorrow against Lesotho and Mali.
Alex Langham and Aiden Leo opened but only managed 13 before Alex was dismissed for 2.
Veteran Dax Richards was in at 3 and scored four being dismissed for four runs.
But a forty partnership between Captain Scott Crowie and Andrew Yon saw St Helena put themselves in a commanding position at that stage of the game.
Jordi Henry contributed before Cliff Richards and Brett Isaac completed the innings on 125 with Brett contributing 21.
Needing 126 to win Seychelles started slowly but by the 10th over was on par with the St Helena score.
However excellent bowling spells by Scott and Barry 21/3.5 and 9/4 saw the Seychelles drop behind in the run rate.
Needing 24 of the last 2 overs they started taking risks and St Helena applied the pressure St Helena took the last wicket 2 runs ahead and a ball remaining.
What an absolute blast of a game.
St Helena needed that win not only to lift them a place in the table but to build confidence and instill motivation ahead of 2 hard games.
Soon after the results were published to the media the team’s guestbook once again sprung into life and messages were flying in.
