The St Helena Cricket Association this week, acknowledges a significant contribution from SA Airlink, as they sponsor 2 flights to enable the transition of a coach to and from the Island to train the International Team and a Physio to accompany the team to Rwanda and back.
Ordinarily, these flights would have had to be paid by the Association, but the Airlink sponsorship it has made life easier and enabled some much-needed practice games in Johannesburg in the week leading up to the tournament.
Airlink is a privately owned airline, acknowledged as Southern Africa’s largest independent airline with more than 50 commercial jets operating to more than 45 destinations including St Helena.
Airlink signed an agreement with the St Helena Government in July 2017 to provide a scheduled and charter commercial air service to the Island and this operates on a weekly basis between St Helena and Johannesburg, via a fuel stop in Namibia.
Cricket St Helena is grateful to Airlink for their contribution to the 2022 Rwanda trip.
