48 Runs the difference….

St Helenas run in the T20 WC sub regional qualifiers took another hit as they lost to Eswatini, who had taken a commanding lead of 173 in the first innings including a man of the match performance from Adil Butt who scored 81.

St Helena had started their batting innings successfully with Scott Crowie and Andrew Yon combining to score 51 before Andrew was dismissed.

The strong start took a hit as the next 3 wickets fell quickly, leaving St Helena a huge task ahead leading into the last 5 overs of the match.

Scott Crowie batted through scoring 54 of 53 balls and joined in the last over by Aiden Leo who scored 12 of five, but 48 runs short of the required target.

It was not the result that the team were looking for heading into this match and it now leaves a uphill battle with just 3 game remaining. Sierra Leone is next.

Today (Monday) is a rest day and Team St Helena has a 3 hour allocation on the field to train starting at 2 pm.

Team St Helena thanks their supporters both in St Helena and abroad for their well wishes.
